While some MPs are finding innovative ways to utilise the time freed by the Opposition uproar and consequent adjournment of Parliament, the issue of repeated disruptions has purportedly created a schism within the Congress. While a big chunk of the party, in particular its young MPs, want it to milk the various controversies and put the government on the back-foot, some senior leaders such as former Union Minister Shashi Tharoor are said to be against stalling Parliament. His stand on the issue somehow found its way into the media, leading Congress President Sonia Gandhi to lose her temper, and give him a piece of her mind at a meeting last week. It took some effort from Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi to cool frayed nerves!
