The Indian delegation at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity arrived as an orchestra and left as a string quartet. More than 80 advertising executives from India flew into Cannes supposedly to attend the Oscars of advertising this year. But only a handful of them were seen in and around the official venue, the Palais des Festivals et des Congres in Cannes, through the event. Eyewitnesses say the missing contingent was busy imbibing lessons on creativity from the interplay of sun and sand on the palm-lined beaches near this idyllic town on the French Riviera.
