Dancing with the stars & stripes

Thanks to US President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle, the koli number to which they danced at Holy Name High School is in great demand from Indians settled in the US. As a result, various fishermen’s organisations – the koli is a traditional fisherfolk dance – have been busy sending CDs of the dance number to the US. The buzz is that the Democrats may even use the dance number during the 2012 elections to lure more Indian-Americans votes.
