Dinesh Trivedi, Trinamool Congress' new vice-president, made his presence felt at the Delhi reception hosted by Bharatiya Janata Party president Amit Shah for his son Jay, who got married recently. While the Opposition went largely unrepresented at the gathering, Trivedi was among the few people who came early and left late. Trivedi, who is from Gujarat and has lived many years in Bengal, has openly praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi on numerous occasions. He spent his time mingling with acquaintances from Gujarat, central ministers and, of course, Gautam Adani, chairman and founder of Adani Group.
