Most ministries have wooden picture frames hung on the walls with the names of former ministers/ department heads, along with the dates they were in office. The Railways are no exception, except in their case, not all the names are in the same language. In one Member of the Railway Board’s room, the names of his predecessors that are on the first wooden frame (around 32 or so) are in English while the names of other officers, on the second board, are written in Hindi.
