The Indian Space Research Ogranisation (ISRO) has been at the forefront of India’s efforts to ensure everyone has access to phones or are able to have ATMs working 24/7. But the people monitoring the satellites themselves are not as lucky. The Internet service is so poor and the cellphone connections so unreliable within ISRO’s Master Control Facility in Hassan, Karnataka that the scientists rue that they are there for everyone but there’s no one to help them.
