Two MPs asked a question about the accounts of housing companies, and wanted to know from the finance minister if a special audit had been ordered of the accounts of various housing firms, including the ‘Darbari Lal Foundation (DLF)’. While replying, SS Palanimanickam, minister of state of finance, referred to the ‘Delhi Lease & Financing Ltd’ even though the ‘L’ in DLF stood for ‘Land’ before it decided to call itself just DLF.
