He was seen planning his appointments for the month looking at the calendar for May 2009. When this was pointed out to him politely, if sarcastically, Singh smiled and said it was one and the same thing — both months began on a Friday and ended on Sunday the 31st. “We are innovative,” he said with a smile.
Other months that are similar are February 2010 and June 2009 (if you remember, February has only 28 days) since both begin on a Monday and the 28th is a Sunday in both months; March 2010, similarly, is the same as June 2009 (though March has 31 days as compared to June’s 30) since both begin on a Monday — the list goes on, but the only perfect matches are January 2010 and May 2009.
