Outspoken Haryana Minister Anil Vij described Robert Vadra, son-in-law of Congress President Sonia Gandhi, as a "shahi damaad" (royal son-in-law), and alleged that Congress governments in various states acted like "land mafia", allotting him land as "dowry".
Vij was referring to an Enforcement Directorate (ED) notice served on Vadra's Skylight Hospitality under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act.
The ED notice pertains to its probe into alleged money laundering in a land deal in Rajasthan's Bikaner district. The company has been asked to submit certain documents after the ED conducted extensive searches in Rajasthan and other places last month. The agency had conducted similar searches in the case in Delhi last year.
