Shibu Soren, the Jharkhand chief minister, is a brave man. After voting against the BJP-sponsored cut motion in the evening, Soren treated himself to a nice dinner. And guess who played the host? It was BJP President Nitin Gadkari. But when Soren, or “Guruji,” as he is fondly called in Jharkhand, came to Gadkari’s place, the BJP president didn’t know that his guest had ditched his party a few hours ago. Only when BJP leader Sushma Swaraj called up during the dinner that Gadkari realised what Soren had done.
