A bureaucrat who flew executive class on a troubled private airline recently was shocked to find a co-pilot repairing a malfunctioning washroom. One of the washrooms was locked due to technical problems and passengers had to wait in a long queue outside the other. When some of them asked to lodge a complaint, the airline crew went into a huddle. Eventually, a co-pilot volunteered to tackle the defective washroom. That’s when passengers panicked and forced the co-pilot to return to the cockpit, deeming flight safety more important than a faulty toilet. Meanwhile, with the inflight entertainment also malfunctioning, the crew began to eagerly ply irate passengers with big packets of chocolates and biscuits just to keep them away from the complaint book.
