At Sheikh Hasina’s press conference, a journalist asked the Bangladesh prime minister why she thought the visit had been a success when she had not been able to stop India from executing the Tipaimukh hydro project in Manipur. Hasina was quick to ask the journalist: “Have you gone there to see the project?” The journalist said a team had been sent to visit the site of the barrage. Hasina countered: “What did your team find?” “Nothing. The work hasn’t started yet,” replied the scribe. With a stern look, Hasina snubbed the journalist, “Then why should we discuss something that doesn’t even exist?”
