Holy cow!

The Bihar Assembly elections victory for the Grand Alliance and the defeat for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was welcomed by many on Twitter. Beef being one of the issues that was bandied about in the run-up to the polls, jokes on cows took centre stage on Twitter following the declaration of results. While one user said, "If you pull the tail of a cow, you will have cow dung on your hands", another posted, "Cow gives milk, not votes". Incidentally, a cartoon trending on the #BiharVerdict was that of a cow chomping on a lotus, the BJP's symbol.
