'Hot mic' moment?

The impasse in the Rajya Sabha over religious conversions has seen tempers flaring and much trading of charges from both sides - the ruling party and the Opposition - and the occasional moments of laughter and release. So when a senior MP from the Treasury bench went on a tirade, refusing to let members of the Opposition speak, senior Samajwadi Party leader Ram Gopal Yadav was overheard saying, "No matter how hard he tries, he will never be made minister." House members and members of the press corps fought hard to muffle their laughs. Yadav's remark was meant for the ears of his colleague sitting to his left, but since the microphone in front of the MP sitting to his right was also switched on, it picked up the jibe.
