In less than two weeks from now, the Indian trade delegation will be at Cancun. Trade ministers are meeting there to review the progress on what has come to be called the Doha Development Agenda (DDA). Trade in agriculture will probably be the most visible issue.
The European Union (EU) and the United States (US), were expected to have a fistfight at Cancun from which the rest of the world would benefit.
Instead, they have betrayed this trust and stuck a private bargain. The rest are appalled at this perfidy and are quaking at their knees, not without reason.
