Mughal emperor Shah Jahan built the Taj Mahal in Agra for his wife Mumtaz Mahal and it is regarded as a monument of love. But Rabri Devi believes her husband and former chief minister of Bihar Lalu Prasad deserves more praise for giving her a bigger taj (crown) — the CM’s seat in Bihar. Prasad, the Rashtriya Janata Dal chief, had anointed his wife as the chief minister three times between 1997 and 2005 after he was faced with cases related to the fodder scam. Rabri Devi was airing her views on women’s empowerment in the context of International Women’s Day.
