This refers to the Chinese Whispers item "The letter vs the spirit" (December 17). The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ministers and leaders are dropping a brick at the drop of a hat. The latest in the series is the controversial circular advising the CBSE schools to observe December 25 as "Good Governance Day" in the name of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. That in euphoria of doing so even his name was spelt wrongly in the circular only shows the BJP ministers' levity. But Prime Minister Narendra Modi's characteristic silence on their functioning with gay abandon continues. Is he giving them enough rope to hang themselves?
