The article on regional language newspapers missed an important point, i.e. content (“Have Indian language papers run out of ink?” September 2). Most readers take a look at the front page, go to the local pages and then dump the newspaper to be sold as raddi. Most regional papers are to be blamed for turning the readers away since they lack content, even on weekends. This trend is becoming evident in national newspapers too. You cannot get readership by printing coloured photographs with a two-line edit.
