This refers to Tony Jesudasan’s letter of July 13 in reaction to my article ‘Let’s understand what’s at stake’. I have been commenting on issues of public interest in your newspaper as well as other publications for the last 15 years, and have even authored a book. I am a partner in Noesis. Set up in 2007, it is a strategic consulting firm and not a lobbying company. One of the partners, Ms Niira Radia, runs three PR companies advising about 133 leading corporates in India and abroad, including the Tata group and Reliance Industries Limited. I have no relationship either with her PR companies or their mandates. Apart from Noesis, I am also on the boards and committees of several companies.

It would also be pertinent to state that I resigned from the Pipeline Advisory Committee of the Petroleum Regulatory Board after its first introductory Committee meeting and am no longer the Chairman. Rather than questioning my credentials, the need is to answer the questions raised in the article.
