Apropos the the editorial "Three days in New Delhi" (January 28). The nuclear liability law enacted by India after signing the civilian nuclear agreement with the US may be an outlier but it was of paramount importance. That the US is continuing to refuse to accept this law only shows its lack of concern for people from other countries.
Regarding other bilateral issues discussed during US President Barack Obama's visit, only time will tell what we have gained and what we lost. The bear hug between him and Prime Minister Narendra Modi does not necessarily bear testimony to the success of the visit, which was marked more by the so-called chemistry between the two leaders than the ground-level diplomacy.
