The brutal attack on north Indian rail exam candidates by MNS (Maharashtra Navnirman Sena) activists in Mumbai is strongly condemnable. The MNS chief Raj Thackeray has again pushed his supporters to commit acts of violence against north Indians. With a growing trend of such acts of vandalism, Mumbai has almost become the haven of such extremists. Those violent acts should be contained with proper execution of the rule of the law and the offenders should be brought to book immediately. Now, the Maharashtra government has arrested Raj Thackeray for the Sunday incident. However, the million dollar question is: Will this arrest really stop him from breaking the law in the future? To put an end to the violent trends, serious steps should be taken to ban the radical outfits such as the MNS. The law-breakers hailing from such outfits should be taken to task.
