Star’s moment of truth’, July 28, has made a very pertinent point. Sach ka samna is a very good programme, and is typical of the new kind of programming that our channels are now becoming capable of, but if you cannot watch a programme with your family, you will probably not watch it at all. I wonder if the management team at Star that planned this new show thought of this at all.

Since our MPs are very exercised over the show, Star should plan a special show for them. Strap up a few of them on the chair and ask them questions. Viewers can be asked to provide questions in case the show’s host has a problem coming up with his own. While the BJP MPs could be asked questions on Muslims and how the party really views them, the Congress MPs could be asked how they like Sonia Gandhi and the attention now being given to the next generation of the family.
