In India, whenever a VIP - say, an industrialist, political heavyweight, self-proclaimed godman or tinsel town personality - is arrested, he/she invariably falls ill, mostly complaining of chest pain, and gets himself/herself admitted to a hospital. This has almost become a rule.

By such an action, the alleged culprit prolongs by a few months his/her long-winding trial process, which sometimes takes decades to arrive at a final verdict.
