The lesson from ‘Caste in a new mould’ (May 18) is a simple one — those who write on regulatory affairs should not write on politics.

Asking the BJP to work on educating Muslims is like asking the Congress and the BJP to merge. If the BJP is to work with Muslims, its traditional base will desert it. Like the proverbial washerman’s dog, they will be neither here nor there. Stick to writing on telecom.
