Exports have once again shrunk and economists continue to talk of green shoots and purchasing manager indices! The government needs to come up with a plan to arrest the decline in exports and a scheme to provide employment to those millions who have lost their jobs as a result of this. The government must not worry about the economists who keep preaching fiscal rectitude. Right now, the government’s concern should be to create jobs, and nothing else.
