If the news reports of party leader Arun Jaitley boycotting the BJP because of its insistence on giving top positions to people who Jaitley thinks are wheeler-dealers are true, then hats off to him. Indian politics has always been plagued with such persons. But this was thought to be a necessary evil since, at the end of the day, there were just a few good men around.

People like Jaitley have proved that they don’t need politics to help them make a living, they are in politics because they want to change things in the country. Since their cause is a noble one, there is no reason why they should compromise with their standards. May Jaitley’s tribe increase.
