<b>Letters:</b> Immature leadership

With reference to the Chinese Whispers item, “Rahul gets aggressive” (April 7), it is nice to learn that the Congress vice-president is back from his “self-exile” after the Assembly poll losses this year. 

It must have taken a lot of effort for Rahul Gandhi (pictured) to reconnect with the public on social media after the party suffered a big defeat in Uttar Pradesh and also lost out “technically” in both the Goa and Manipur Assemblies where the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) top brass strategically outsmarted him and the Congress.

Although Gandhi has now deployed his aide and Rajasthan Congress chief Sachin Pilot with the brief to steer the party towards resurgence in the BJP-ruled state, it may still be a hard nut to crack. Perhaps, the basic flaw is Gandhi’s immature leadership.  

Incidentally, whenever Gandhi turns aggressive, the government benefits. He should do his homework well before firing salvos at the government. Sadly, there is no one in the Congress to show him the right path.
