The report of leading IT firms in Hyderabad wanting to relocate to Chennai (“Telangana issue forces IT firms to eye neighbours”, January 6) should be an eye-opener for India’s politicians. When they play politics, this has an impact on the economic well being of the states they are located in. This is why Indian industry decided to pass a no-confidence vote against West Bengal, and this is precisely what is happening now in Telangana.

It is high time the people of the states understood the impact of the games politicians play, and started to vote taking this into account.
