This refers to “SC Rejects plea to defer Ayodhya case verdict”(September 29). The Supreme Court has finally rejected Ramesh Chandra Tripathi’s plea to postpone the verdict on the Ramjanmabhoomi-Babri Masjid title suit by the Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court (HC). Though the verdict will be out on September 30, what remains to be seen is whether both the parties, Hindus and Muslims, would be satisfied with the decision.
India must welcome the verdict and those who are not happy may go to the Supreme Court, which might take decades again to reach a conclusion. So, the best way is to sit together and reach an amicable solution without hurting anybody’s sentiments. It is not possible for the court to satisfy everybody in this case, so if an amicable solution is not found, there would again be unhappiness, unrest, fear and restlessness.
