With reference to "Need work culture of finishing projects before time: Modi" (February 8), it is true that not a single project is finished within the targeted time frame. Goals and objectives are set before starting a project, but these are not fulfilled in time. The main hurdles to starting a project are land acquisition, design and proper planning in addition to financial management. It is essential for the authorities concerned to complete these processes to develop a sense of commitment. Work culture is a concept that deals with Ideologies and principles of the authorities, and its implementation. Lack of inspiration and guidance for employees working on the project are also responsible for the delays. Therefore, there is a need to switch to a new culture as envisaged by Narendra Modi.
