The German Ambassador to India, Thomas Matussek while replying to the remarks of Jairam Ramesh has conveniently forgotten that in the last 50 years every technology that pollutes has come from the august stables of German industries. Hoechst, Bayer and BASF of Germany are leading chemical manufacturers and take a look at what their chemicals and dyes do.

Germany may lay claim to researching fuel cell technology and other greener options for automotive power plants; but this comes too late since they have been for the past 50 years producing petrol and diesel engines, which thay grandiosely celebrated and exported all over the world?
