The reported decision of the prime minister to conduct a review of his ministers (“Ministers’ appraisal soon, may trigger Cabinet rejig”, December 26) and, if need be, remove them has not come a day too soon.
With the exception of a few ministers like Jairam Ramesh and Kapil Sibal, most members of the Cabinet are not doing a good job. A few of them, like the power minister, are doing an exceptionally poor job and it would be a relief to see new blood being brought in.
