With reference to the report "Richest Lok Sabha candidates' club grows threefold" (May 9), there is nothing wrong with the super-rich entering politics as long as their objective is to make a meaningful contribution to society. What is not desirable is if seats of power were used to further MPs' personal or business interests. In fact, the huge cost involved in campaigning means only rich candidates or the ones with access to rich sponsors can enter the fray.
