This refers to the report “No space for poor in MP skyscraper project” (July 6). The order to permit the construction of skyscrapers is not in line with the housing board’s aim — which is to meet the housing needs of people, especially those belonging to low-income groups. Lack of housing for the poor has led to the mushrooming of slums. Therefore, before taking up any project the housing board should have a concrete plan that incorporates the requirements of people from all social groups. The aim should be to have a house for everyone and not just for the rich.
