This refers to the editorial "30-day scorecard" (June 25). No other party in the recent times has raised so much hope and interest in the government's working style as the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). What we have observed in theses 30 days is that the Modi government is moving in the right direction to revive the economy. Steps such as the cleaning of Ganga, Modi's Bhutan visit, the railway fare hike, removal of unnecessary offices to curtail expenses, are all laudable. The BJP government should pay less attention towards trivial and controversial issues such as using Hindi in government offices. Their focus should be on the creation of employment, curbing inflation and attracting foreign investment. By improving infrastructure, health care facilities and with the right investment in labour-intensive industries, the government should live up to the high expectations.
