This refers to the edit “Flawed fare strategy” (December 1). The bailout measures for the aviation sector should start from the renovation and remodelling of airports. In this regard, the government should have a clear blueprint of the existing airports.

The Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) in Hyderabad has set a fine example by being named the best airport in the Airport Service Quality (ASQ) survey conducted by the Geneva-based Airports Council International (ACI). The RGIA has got this recognition in a short span of time and that is commendable. Factors like spacious location, superb hospitality, sincerity and hard work of GMR Group and wide roads equipped with good flyovers contributed a lot to the success of the airport. Other airports in the country can also be developed taking RGIA as an example. In the process, the aviation industry will see the good results in terms of customer satisfaction and revenues.
