Are top government functionaries trying to talk up sentiment? Planning Commission Deputy Chairman Montek Singh Ahluwalia has said India will grow at a minimum of 6.7 per cent, and chief statistician of India Pronab Sen has said that growth could be even higher since the impact of production from Reliance Industries Ltd’s gas field in the Krishna-Godavari basin is not captured in the traditional index of industrial production. If this is indeed the case, it means that India is completely decoupled from the global economy.
