T N Ninan is correct in observing that the PM is in hiding (“PM-in-hiding,” June 25). Talks of the PM’s honesty have become a familiar refrain. But if honesty is the sole prerequisite for the high office he holds, then an ordinary citizen like me can also qualify for the same position. Also, I wonder what keeps the PM busy, considering that a chunk of the responsibility of governance and policy-making has been outsourced to the numerous GoMs and the National Advisory Council. All of us are measured against productivity and our daily output levels and the PM should be no exception to this.
