If the Supreme Court found R K Anand guilty of trying to influence a key witness in the Sanjeev Nanda case, it has let him off very lightly. The High Court, holding Anand guilty, prevented him from appearing before it for just four months.
Surely the punishment was far too lenient given the nature of the crime being committed? If this can be allowed to happen in such a high profile case, one can only wonder as to what happens in the routine cases that never make it to the front pages of national dailies.
