Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi's sabbatical led to a lot of conjecture and ridicule in and outside the party. The hullabaloo refuses to die. One doesn't know if it was a gentle dig or an effort to downplay the whole thing, but party general secretary Digvijaya Singh has managed to bring the episode back in the spotlight by comparing Gandhi's long absence with Russian President Vladimir Putin's sudden disappearance. "Putin also off to introspection?," he tweeted on Monday.
