It is generally a wise policy that, unless the matter involves a personal emergency or a friend, to avoid Indian missions abroad. They are seldom helpful or congenial places and, in my experience, often the last to know.
But in Dublin after trying various sources, the telephone book, word of mouth inquiries and so on, I had no luck, and as I was passing through the elegant suburb of D4 where the embassy is located, I thought it worth dropping in as a last resort. I should have known better.
