Meeting the challenge

Many may see oil minister Dharmendra Pradhan as a novice in the government, but the Odiya politician and Rajya Sabha MP from Bihar is working hard to make his presence felt in his ministry. Many bureaucrats in the ministry were surprised that Pradhan makes it a point to come to their rooms to greet them. But they're not the only recipients of his meet-and-greet policy. He makes it a point to greet attendants and sweepers in the ministry as well, causing one to say admiringly that he was "the real life Munna Bhai", a reference to the popular, down-to-earth hero of the hit comedy film Munna Bhai MBBS.
