Pradeep Jain, first-time member of Parliament and minister of state of rural development, is known to be close to Rahul Gandhi. However, he was forced to keep a distance from his senior minister and the department. The reason: While the rural development ministry is in Krishi Bhawan, Jain’s office was in Nirman Bhawan, on the opposite side of Rajpath. After months, he has got an office in Krishi Bhawan. According to insiders, Jain spent a few lakh rupees to renovate his office, even though few files come his way.
