Recently, in the Gujarat Assembly, Congress leader Shaktisinh Gohil mocked the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led government in the state and the steps it had taken to quash the Patel quota agitation. "Ben (Gujarat Chief Minister Anandiben Patel) is under threat from this bhai and those other bhais (state minister Nitin Patel and BJP President Amit Shah)," he said. "We will not create more problems for her, but we will surely win the next Assembly elections." Alluding to the quota agitation leader Hardik Patel's arrest, Gohil, inspired by mythology, said, "Kansa had sent Kanhaiya's parents to jail, and it was Kansa, who got wiped out in the end."
