Mumbai's missing SUVs

If you are one of those whose SUV was recently stolen in Mumbai, it may be a good idea to look for it in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. Police admit that the demand for SUVs shot up substantially in the run-up to elections, with many stolen SUVs used for campaigning in these two states. A CLSA report says the demand for SUVs has doubled in the last two months in UP and Bihar, with dealers saying monthly sales have doubled to about 800 units. And since the demand is significantly higher than supply in these states, what better place to steal vehicles than Mumbai, where the recovery of stolen vehicles is the lowest!
