Nehru's ways of attaining freedom for the country differed from that of Bose

As Regal cinema hall in Delhi’s Connaught Place closed down on March 30, Congress members recalled how the country’s first prime minister, Jawaharlal Nehru, brought back a film, Chalo Dilli, on the life of Subhas Chandra Bose, from Rangoon in 1956 and arranged a special screening for party leaders in that theatre. The film depicted Bose’s role in the freedom struggle: “Chalo Dilli” was his war cry for the Indian National Army that he formed on foreign soil to free India of British rule. Though Nehru’s ways of attaining freedom for the country differed from that of Bose, he valued the revolutionary leader.
