Chattisgarh may have more than 20 million people, but just 1.5 lakh of them have cable TV connections. Its capital, Raipur, has more than a million people, but has just 30,000 cable homes. The numbers are clearly not believable and Chhattisgarh’s Commercial Tax Minister Amar Agrawal is worried since he’s losing a lot of tax on each cable connection. He’s asked tax officials to do their own surveys and report to him.
