Officials and ministers are not always eager to entertain the media. Indeed, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has made it clear to his government that he does not expect them to have any unscripted interaction with the media. But one newly-inducted Cabinet minister in the Modi government has taken the concern to an entirely new level. Weeks after taking charge, he not only placed a strict "No Entry" notice outside the office of his private secretary, but has also done away with the glass door and replaced it with a wooden panel to stop anyone from peeping inside. Though nothing has been communicated officially yet, insiders said that the step has been taken as the minister was in any case not very comfortable answering questions from the media.
