When Food Minister and BCCI President Sharad Pawar went to Chandigarh to watch a cricket match, he was happy to see fans waving to him. Clearly they were happy with the way the team was performing and were thanking him. Except when, Pawar went closer to the crowds, he heard them chanting, “Cheeni ke daam kam karo, cheeni ke daam kam karo” (reduce the prices of sugar).
