Journalists in Delhi look forward to the annual Diwali Milan organised by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). This year they half-expected the event to be cancelled after the party's poor showing in the Bihar Assembly polls. However, it seems the get-together is on though it was postponed in view of Vishwa Hindu Parishad leader Ashok Singhal's death. It is scheduled for November 28, and the prime minister, apart from top ministers and BJP leaders, would be present. Last year's get-together saw journalists falling over each other to click selfies with the PM. At that time, Narendra Modi's charisma was at an all-time high, thanks to his triumph in the Lok Sabha polls and several Assembly elections. He endeared himself to the journalists by going around and shaking hands not just with the reporters, but also with their camera crew.
